13 Rain drowned out the noise and really focused in at Mandatory 3, picking up decisive wins against Belltown, Bakersfield Volleyball Club, and VCVC to move up to SCVA Division 8.

“The girls have worked really hard in practice. Especially with serving and defense. It showed. They now know what they can do if they work together. Sometimes you need to see results and we definitely did at Mandatory 3! Congrats to the girls!” said head Coach Leilani Napoleon.

12 Thunder crashed the Mandatory 3 party, beating Bakersfield, Apex, and usual foe, Coast to advance to SCVA Division 5.

“Our offense has gotten better and better as we go on. And the wins have increased more and more as we go on. I don’t think that’s a coincidence at all. I’m also seeing the team really start to come together. It matters. A group of individuals rarely wins, teams do. And at Mandatory 3, we did,” said head coach Brock Turner.

11 Elite made quick work of their Mandatory 3 opponents, taking out Wave, Commerce Crush and Prime—all in 2 sets, to move up to SCVA Division 8.

“We were great defensively. Served tough to make digging the ball a lot easier. Then we transitioned well and were able to capitalize when we got the ball back. I saw a big boost in confidence which is well-deserved. I’ve always been confident in them, but they need to confident in them. And at Mandatory 3, I saw that happen,” said head coach Kristin Mcneese.
