14 BOLT lit up their opponents at Mandatory 1, finishing a perfect 3-0, taking out Starlings SFV, Ridgecrest Starlings, and Wave to get there.

“I think our energy was the best it’s been all year. This team has truly been a team and a lot of times, unfortunately, that’s not the case. We had consistent energy from everyone the entire time and I know it’s the biggest reason for our success at the tournament,” said head coach Shaina Barrett.

The girls also accumulated a ton of aces over the tournament contributing to the win.

“We served lights out. Which always helps. But if we don’t have energy from everyone on that team, we don’t win those games. Proud of my girls and who they’ve become as a unit,” concluded Barrett.

14 Bolt next plays on April 7 at SCVA Mandatory 2.   

14 RAIN also poured on the wins at the tournament, going undefeated and propelling them forward into SCVA Division 6.

“The girls have been working so hard in practice and it shows. They’re passing has improved. Their serving has improved. Their offense and defense has improved. And because of that, they’re seeing more wins,” said head coach Jin Zhang.

14 Rain took out SoCal Volleyball Club, Southside Volleyball Club, and Moonlight Crashes with their improved play.

The girls also take the court on April 7 for Mandatory 2 where they look to elevate their game even further.
