The girls of 12 Roshambo started the 2018 season off on fire at Qualifier 1, taking down Ignite VBCF (25-11, 25-8), Oaks VBC (25-5, 25-3) and Coast (25-8, 25-5) respectively.

“What a way to start the season! It was a lot of fun to see all the hard work in practice paying off. We didn’t only serve for a high percentage, we served in-zone for an extremely high percentage. And that’s what wins matches here,” said Head Coach Shari Iwatani.

12 Roshambo had 24 aces on the day, but looks to improve in some other areas as the season goes on.

“We still need to work on defense and taking some powerful swings when the ball’s there. But overall, it was an incredibly successful day. Proud of where we are so early in the year,” Coach Iwatani concluded.

12 Roshambo will comete again January 28 at SCVA Qualifier 2.
