The girls of 14 Roshambo used steady team play to go a perfect 3-0 at SCVA Qualifier 1.

“For our first tournament, I thought we showed what we can do. We have some new pieces and we’re stull getting comfortable so it was nice to watch them compete. That’s one thing this team is not short on—competitive nature,” said Head Coach Vanessa Williams-Mukai at the conclusion of the tournament.

14 Rosh served and defended their way to victories over Mizuno Long Beach (25-10, 25-8) Icon VBC (25-13, 25-8) and SVVC (25-14, 25-15) respectively.

“We served well and played great defensively. I thought our offense was pretty good, but we still have a ton of room to improve there. Blocking as well. Just think this team needs to stay on top of things if we want to do as well as we can. I look forward to seeing how we respond when matches start getting a little tight,” concluded Williams-Mukai.

The girls of 14 Rosh next take the court January 21 at SCVA Qualifer 2.
