14 Elite bands together to go undefeated at SCVA Qualifier #1!

After weeks of training and extra reps, the girls of 14 Elite were more excited than ever to compete in the first tournament of the year! The squad showed up eager, excited, and most of all, determined to start this season off strong. And after overcoming the inevitable first game nerves, the girls played cohesively and energized to beat SCVC 14 Roxy in two (25-20, 25-21).

The girls were excited to keep the momentum going after their first win of the season! And they did just that—despite a couple long referee/injury delays, taking match two against Wave 14 Jess in three sets (24-26, 25-19, 15-12).

Due to the delays, the girls immediately went into the third match with no break! Fortunately, a rush of energy and excitement from the previous victory allowed the girls to start off the match on fire. A high-powered offense and great serve receive crumpled Forza1 North (25-22, 25-15).

“All in all, Qualifier #1 was a huge success for 14 Elite. It was a great example of their hard work, dedication, and tenacious attitude! It showed how resilient the team can be in tough situations. Even when the game got close, the girls did a phenomenal job of keeping their composure, staying confident, and remaining aggressive. It was a great start to the season,” said Coach Stephanie Eskander after the tournament.

“We can’t wait to see how much better the girls get over the course of the year,” chimed in Assistant Coach, Andrea Bosnic.

14 Elite will next play January 21 at SCVA Qualifier #2.
